On-page optimization is one of the most important processes for a successful internet marketing campaign and also to see the better organic search result in Google, Yahoo or Bing organic search result.

If you have not optimized your website as per the search engine guidelines and user friendly, your success are minimized.

We have mentioned below some important tips through which you can optimize your website as per the search engine guidelines and user friendly. 

1. Webpage Content: 

Content is king and plays vital role for every website. You need to update first business and keyword oriented (which keywords you want to see in the Google organic search result) webpage content on the website.

So, what is considered good webpage content?



Avoid Duplicate Content: your website should not be copied from the other website which is not good and against the search engine guidelines, your website might penalize or sandboxed by the Google. You need to update only useful and unique content.

Keyword Density:  For a Webpage, keyword density should not be more keyword oriented because this might be the cause of penalty. If your website is having approx 400 words then keyword density should be 2-3%.

Keyword Proximity: Keyword proximity means refer to the distance between the search terms for individual keywords. The percentage of keyword proximity should be also between 2-3%.

Keyword prominence: This refers to phrase within web page content. You can use keyword prominence in the header section, Meta tags and starting paragraph of a sentence.

2. Meta Tags:

Meta tags are also one of the crucial and very important parts for the website. Meta tags are snippets of text which is not showing on the webpage itself, this describe about webpage content. Meta tags are divided into 2 parts i.e. Meta Tile and Description.


Title: Each and every page should have unique and keyword oriented title that will help for both user and search engine to understand that what is page about.  As per the new search engine guidelines, Meta title length should be between 50-60 characters.

Description:  As per the search engine guidelines Meta description length should be between 150-160 characters and unique for each page. 

3. Image Optimization:

Image is important for the website through which you can describe about your services. As Google can’t read images, so we need to optimize the images with the suitable ALT tag and Title tag to understand what the image about?

4. URL Structure:

The URL structure is an important part of on-page SEO (Search engine optimization). Search engine prefers only static and short term URL structure which is good for every website. We have mentioned below some points which is important before creating any internal pages.

URL Length: URL length should not be more than 100 characters’ as mentioned below example.

               Wrong:  www.abc.com/looking-for-the-best-and-affordable-web-design-services-company-in/
               Right: www.abc.com/web-design /

Hyphens in URLs: Avoid using underscores between the words in an URL.  Using underscores is not good and against the search engine guidelines. Use always hyphens which good and search engine friendly.

For example:

                Wrong: www.abc.com/web_design_services /
                Right: www.abc.com/web-design_-services /

5. Internal Linking Optimization:

Internal linking optimization through anchor text is also matters because this is important and useful for both SEO and user point of view.

Also, it’s a good way to tell search engine that which is your important pages. Every website has lots of important pages than others; you can get the benefits for your important pages through this way.
We have mentioned below some important tips for internal linking optimization.
  • Do not use more keyword oriented anchor text within webpage content
  • Internal liking should useful and user friendly
  • No more than 8-10 links within a webpage content (it’s my personal opinion not based on search engine guidelines)

6. Page Speed/Loading Time:

 If want to see your website to perform well in organic search result website page speed/loading time also matters. As per the new search engine guidelines website loading time should be between 1-2 second.


You can check your website page speed through Google page speed insights tool which is free tool to analyze the website page speed grade.

7. Mobile compatible Website:

Now a day’s nearly 60-70% organic traffic coming from mobile or tablet devices. So, it’s very important that your mobile should be mobile friendly.   You need to avoid common mistake. Kindly read shared below link described by the Google.
